Zylotrim Overview

Zylotrim is a product manufactured by a company called the Obesity Research Institute LLC. This company also make a number of other weight loss, non-prescription products, but do not seem to have a good reputation in the industry. One report shows that they were fined by the FTC for making deceptive weight loss claims about their products (although which specific products are not known) and have had a number of complaints reported to the Better Business Bureau.
Zylotrim is a product that falls into the ‘As Seen on TV’ category, which can be a deterrent to some consumers who see it as a somewhat tacky image. The website features a video/ audio message and the announcement that it was rated #1 weight loss active ingredient in 2007 by ‘Functional Foods and Nutraceuticals’ magazine plus the guarantee that 80% of each pound of weight lost is pure body fat.

Zylotrim - Product Description

ZylotrimThere is not much information about the ingredients in Zylotrim either on their website or any other dieting site on the internet. What is known is that it does contain a natural compound derived from yam, but no mention is made as to whether this is the only ingredient, how much is in each dose or exactly what this does. There is a vague statement that says it will increase the activity of fat burning enzymes, but that is all. Confusingly, the website talks about another product, Metabo Up, but there is absolutely no mention of it anywhere else on the site.

Zylotrim Advantage

  • The product is easy to take; 2 capsules twice a day with water.
  • The product comes with a 30-day money back guarantee.

Zylotrim - Drawbacks

  • The manufacturers have a dubious reputation, having been fined by the FTC.
  • No explanation of the ingredient is given.
  • There are no reviews to be found about Zylotrim on any independent websites.

Zylotrim - The Bottomline

It is very doubtful that, as seen on TV or not, a sensible consumer would want to pay for such an unknown product such as Zylotrim, particularly when there are so many more reputable products on the market. The inclusion of the yam ingredient in the formula is somewhat novel, although no research has been presented by the manufacturer to substantiate nearly all of the dubious product claims on their website. The bottom line on Zylotrim, there are way too many questions and certainly not enough answers that would legitimize the plethora of over the top claims made by the folks who sell this stuff. If you want long term weight loss, you may want to purchase another less expensive product, one that has appetite suppresses, fat burners and metabolism boosters in its ingredients. This product gets to big two thumbs down!
