The SlimAcai weight loss supplement is, like many similar products, taking advantage of the sudden popularity in ’superfoods’. This term was coined to describe a number of anti-oxidant rich foods that help combat the cancer-causing free-radicals in the body. As one of these ’superfoods’, Acai berry has been showing up in supplements and juices and does indeed have a lot of health benefits.
SlimAcai uses the power of the Acai berry in its formula that is designed to help weight loss through suppressing the appetite, increasing energy and detoxifying the system. Unfortunately the SlimAcai website does not contain a good amount of information about the product and only consists of one page in total. There are no customer testimonials shown and no FAQ section or dosage instructions.
The makers of SlimAcai use quotes from various news sources such as CBS and ABC that cite the benefits of Acai, and are presented in a way that makes it seem they are endorsing the SlimAcai product, which is not the case. Likewise, Dr. Nicolas Perricone, proponent of the ’superfoods’ is featured, discussing the connection between Carraluma Fimbriata (the extract that is used in the patented Slimaluma) and weight loss, although he does not mention SlimAcai by name.

There are three simple ingredients in SlimAcai: Pomegranate, Acai berry and Slimaluma. The product label is shown and all the amounts are listed, they are not combined in a proprietary blend. Although no clinical studies are shown to have been performed on SlimAcai, Slimaluma has been thoroughly tested and proved fairly successful as a weight loss supplement. There is a good amount of information provided regarding these tests and the origins of Carraluma Fimbriata, the plant from which Slimaluma is derived. All the ingredients in the U.S.A. manufactured product are organic and certified.
There is no clear explanation of how the three ingredients work to help in all the various aspects of weight loss, purification, suppressing the appetite etc. and it is not clear how much weight the consumer can expect to lose, or if diet and exercise are supposed to be part of the program.

There is no reason to choose SlimAcai over the countless other Acai berry products available on the market, and in fact should probably be avoided given the amount of complaints filed against the company, including not being able to cancel orders and wrong charges appearing on credit cards.
SlimAcai is not one of the less expensive Acai berry products either, costing $59.95 for a one month supply, a lot of money to spend on a product that will likely have no effect on weight loss at all.
