Despite the fact that the company claims that Slim Chews helps in all the ways noted above, they provide absolutely no evidence in the form of clinical trials. In addition to this, there is no proof shown that the chews have been ‘clinically proven’ to work after being developed by physicians and dieticians. Other claims for Slim Chews are that they can enable the user to lose approximately 22lbs in 1-2 months and that they are 4 times more effective than other similar products on the market.

The official website includes a couple of quotes regarding the effectiveness of Hoodia Gordonii, one of the ingredients in Slim Chews, although it is apparent that the media companies, CBS News, Today and 60 minutes are in no way endorsing the Slim Chews product.

There are only two active ingredients in Slim Chews as listed on the product label shown. Hoodia Gordonii, the appetite suppressant and Cha de Bugre are contained in a proprietary blend, meaning the exact amounts are not known. There are a number of other non-medicinal ingredients in the product including food colourings, sucralose, palm kernel oil and salt. Each chew is 15 calories and requires a dose of 2 chews at least 1 hour before the largest meal of the day.

The information on the site explains that Slim Chews allows users to keep the weight off for good and needs to only be taken for a few months at any time.

Slim Chews is unlikely to be the ‘revolutionary’ weight loss product as is claimed and will probably not be able to keep weight off anyone indefinitely, particularly without combining it with a good exercise regime and healthy diet.

The company make absolutely no effort to back any of their claims such as Slim Chews being ‘The #1 weight loss chew’, and the ingredients in the product certainly do not seem to have the ability to result in spectacular weight loss. Although Slim Chews are not as expensive as some dieting supplements available over the internet, costing $43.95 per month, it would be unwise to pay anything for such an untested product.
