Puralin
Puralin Overview
Puralin is unique in that it is a homeopathic weight loss supplement rather than an herbal formulation. It is promoted by Apothecus Pharmaceutical Company as an effective appetite and craving control supplement that is safe for everyone including those with conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and thyroid disease that usually preclude the use of weight loss products. Very little information is available about the manufacturer or the product itself and there appears to be an antihistamine of the same name, from the same manufacturer confusing matters.
Puralin – Product Description
As is consistent with homeopathic applications, which offer extremely small doses of substances that produce characteristic symptoms of illness, or in this case extra weight, in healthy people when given in larger doses, Puralin contains minute amounts of several “active” ingredients including Chitosan. Some literature reports the claim that Chitosan causes weight loss by binding fats in the stomach and preventing them from being digested and absorbed and it has been referred to as a “fat magnet.”
Puralin Advantage
- Puralin is very inexpensive–$6.00 for 40 tablets.
- Puralin’s claim to have no side effects is likely true.
Puralin – Drawbacks
- Very little information is available about Puralin as a weight loss product.
- The product’s effectiveness for weight loss is not supported with clinical trials, research findings or studies.
- Puralin appears to also be marketed as a homeopathic solution to sinus issues.
Puralin – The Bottom Line
What little information is available about Puralin claims that it is a safe alternative weight loss supplement for those who have been unable to take diet pills for health reasons. It is a homeopathic treatment that by definition contains minute amounts of active ingredients that are said to trigger the body to become rebalanced and more effective in performing its functions. Puralin can be used for a long period of time and does not have any negative side effects. It is reasonably priced, but its effectiveness in promoting weight loss is questionable.
