This may mean that Hydroxylean is no longer being manufactured. It is still available for purchase at online retailers; however, this may be for a limited time. Because retailers, rather than the parent company, provide all of the information about this product, there are some discrepancies. The most obvious discrepancy is that some retailers maintain that Hydroxylean contains ephedra, while others do not mention this potent stimulant. Customers should check labels, so that they know what they are putting in their bodies. This is not entirely possible since the Hydroxylean label refers to a proprietary blend. This is a vague term used to hide the dosages of ingredients. It often means that dosages are low.Ephedra has something of a myth surrounding it. Hydroxylean’s star ingredient is the potent stimulant ephedra, albeit a low dosage of 10mg. It is derived from the herb Huang Ma. The FDA banned ephedra in 2004 because of health risks. The rest of Hydroxylean’s ingredients are part of a proprietary blend: garcinia cambogia, green tea, salicin complex, l-carnitine, and chromium. Garcinia cambogia is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a fruit native to Southeast Asia. Although this ingredient is found in many weight-loss supplements, independent research concludes that it is ineffective. Green tea has been used medicinally for thousands of years, which partly explains why dieters are so quick to put their faith in it. While perhaps not the miracle ingredient some companies claim, green tea is a natural, safe stimulant. The salicin complex combines white and purple willow bark, which are anti-inflammatory and similar to aspirin. L-carnitine is a lipotropic fat burner that has mixed results in clinical trials. Finally chromium increases the activity of insulin, a hormone involved in metabolism.

Hydroxylean – The Bottom Line
Not only does ephedra boost metabolism, but it is also purported to improve lean muscle mass and enhance sexual performance. It sounds like a win-win. However, there was due cause to ban certain quantities of Ephedra. It is a highly potent stimulant that can cause unwanted and even dangerous side effects. Hydroxylean is worrisome because dieters may put themselves at risk by taking more than the suggested dosage. If however, dieters can employ restraint and use as directed, Hydroxylean may be a good supplement to an exercise and healthy eating habits.
