Dymetadrine
Dymetadrine Overview
Dymetadrine Extreme is a body building product aimed specifically at body builders. It is made by a company called AST who make a whole range of diet and nutritional supplements. They have a very detailed website containing not just information on their products but training tips, body building articles and a question and answers section. The thing that stands out the most when looking at the Dymetadrine information is the amount of times it is stressed that the product is ephedra free. The product did contain this dangerous ingredient at one time, which has since been banned, and caused severe health problems by the users of such products (including high blood pressure and strokes). Dymetadrine is designed to increase energy, mental focus and fat metabolism and uses a process called ‘nutrition-partitioning’. As they explain, this is where nutrients taken into the body are used in lean tissue rather than fatty tissue. Unfortunately the company does not provide any clinical trial studies to back this up, nor do they show trials undertaken on any of the individual ingredients in the product.
Dymetadrine – Product Description
Dymetadrine is a fairly simple blend of herbs and vitamins. The proprietary blend consists of green tea, L-Phenylalanine, L-Tyrosine, caffeine, Norsynephrine HCL, Theobromine and Yohimbine HCL. As most consumers know, green tea extract has shown excellent results as an anti-oxidant and, due to the presence of caffeine, also boosts the metabolism to burn fat more efficiently. The remaining ingredients in this blend all appear to be ‘mood’ enhancers more than anything else, particularly the Theobromine, a substance found in chocolate which, as most people know, can create feelings of elation. Magnesium is contained in Dymetadrine and is useful as a way to maintain normal muscle function, while vitamins C and B6 help with the immune system. It has been noted by independent websites that Dymetadrine contains very high levels of caffeine (some reviewers reported feeling jittery after taking it) and an extremely high level of B6, which may cause nerve damage. Some reviewers were also concerned that the ingredients are designed to imitate the effects of Ephedra, which is obviously not good for the health of the user. AST state that Dymetadrine can be taken either before working out (2 capsules 30 minutes before) to maximize energy or before meals to boost the burning of fat.

Dymetadrine – The Bottom Line
Although Dymetadrine is rather expensive, it is on a par with other products of it’s kind. However, apart from increasing energy and creating a good mood, there is no evidence that this product is any better than most for losing weight. The company does not seem to want to disclose too much about the product and will not publish the amounts in the proprietary blend for fear that a rival company may copy it! The company AST does seem genuine though, and any potential customer may want to research some of their other products before opting for Dymetadrine.
