Cylaris Overview
The makers of Cylaris say that their product is a ‘clinical breakthrough’ and a way for users to ‘reclaim their life’. The official website shows a clinical study which was done on the proprietary blend contained in Cylaris and, indeed, the product showed good results. In fact, in eight weeks, the group taking the blend lost three times more weight than the placebo group. This is good news, although no such study was done on the product Cylaris as a whole. The study is mentioned multiple times on the website (on every page and link) which gives an impression of overkill, as if they are relying on this to sell the product. The company has a good amount of information for the product, though much of it, like the study, is repeated often. One of the biggest sections is that of the makeover testimonials. These are very detailed, containing animated photo illustrations, before and after pictures, statistics and even short interviews with each customer regarding their own ‘Cylaris’ experience. The company also invites new customers to apply for the ‘Makeover Challenge’. If chosen to represent Cylaris as a success story, the user can expect to be featured in Cylaris promotional material and receive monetary compensation.
Cylaris - Product Description
The website gives a detailed list and explanation of the ingredients that are in Cylaris, the main one being a herb called ‘Cissus Quadrangularis’. Apparently this is a substance that has been used for years in India, Africa and parts of Asia to treat ‘various ailments’ and has only just been discovered to benefit weight loss. It also supports a healthy cholesterol level in the body and from comments seen on other health web sites, is actually successful for this purpose. Cylaris includes the familiar weight loss extract green tea, chromium, selenium (which is very similar to chromium), soy (also good for cholesterol) plus vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid. Unfortunately the capsules contain a lot of non-active ingredients such as colourings and silica. Apart from the proprietary blend, the amounts for all the other ingredients are not divulged. The product is simple to take and standard for other products of this type. It is recommended that 2 capsules are taken with water twice a day before meals for 8 weeks. The company advises the inclusion of diet and exercise as part of the program and warns not to take the product at night (presumably due to the caffeine content).
Cylaris Advantage
- There is a detailed and apparently credible testimonial section using full names and photos of customers.
- The study using the proprietary blend in Cylaris proved successful, with the subjects losing an average of 14.52lbs in 8 weeks.
- Green tea has been shown to improve energy levels and help speed the metabolism.
- There have been some good reviews of Cylaris on independent dieting sites (particularly in terms of cholesterol levels).
- The product is inexpensive costing $24.99 for a month supply.
Cylaris Drawbacks
- The main ingredient ‘Cissus Quadrangularis’ is relatively unknown in terms of aiding weight loss.
- There is no free trial offer or apparent money back guarantee.
- The capsules contain a lot of ‘other’ ingredients.
- There have been some side effects reported including headaches, heartburn and nervousness.
Cylaris - The Bottom Line
Cylaris doesn’t seem to offer much that differs from other diet pills of its type apart from the inclusion of Cissus quadrangularis. It is possible that with further testing, this herb may become as popular as Hoodia Gordonii, particularly in helping those with cholesterol problems. It is doubtful that the average user will achieve the same remarkable results as those in the makeovers (the company states that these individuals used professional trainers in addition to Cylaris). However, Cylaris is not overly expensive and therefore may be worth trying if combined with a good regular exercise routine and healthy eating program.
