Curvelle Overview
Curvelle is a weight loss product made specifically for women by iSatori. This is a Colorado based company that, since 2002, has been manufacturing sports nutrition and diet products. The company has a very professional website with information on their whole range of products including Curvelle. The website for Curvelle is part of the whole iSatori site and as such is very easy to navigate and user-friendly. Curvelle is designed to help women curb sugar cravings, control their appetite, burn excess calories and enhance radiance with the addition of antioxidants. There is a good FAQ section on the site but the testimonial section is very brief and not entirely credible. For example, the first, from Jenny Hendershott, a fitness professional and champion, appears to be a good endorsement until it is revealed later that she has a financial interest in the company in the form of a book, the Curvelle Lifestyle, and links to her website. The same is true for the second testimonial, which is from a woman who has a link to her own fitness website.
Curvelle - Product Description
Curvelle claims to have been developed not only by iSatori but with the aid of a ‘trusted medical doctor’ whose name is not given. It contains a short list of natural ingredients which have all been proven in independent clinical trials to be effective in weight loss and fat burning. One of the major ingredients in Curvelle is Cinnulin PF, a patented product derived from cinnamon which, in tests done on mice, appeared to have a positive effect on regulating blood sugar levels and controlling cravings. Razben K is a product made from raspberries that helps decrease the absorption of fat and increase thermogenisis (the burning of fat in the body). In fact, tests showed that the mice who were given Razben K lost weight even whilst fed a high fat diet designed to cause obesity.Apart from these two important ingredients, Curvelle also uses Elderberry extract, a diuretic and good source of vitamin A, B and C; green tea extract, known for it’s antioxidant qualities and finally caffeine, which revs up the metabolism and increases energy. Despite the addition of caffeine Curvelle shouldn’t cause any unpleasant side effects in the user, such as nervousness and jitters, as the makers claim the amount is equal to about one cup of coffee plus, it is designed to be absorbed slowly into the body. The consumer can only take the manufacturers word for this however, as the actual amounts of each ingredient are not disclosed on the site which makes it hard to judge the effectiveness of any of them anyway.
Curvelle Advantage
- iSatori is a reputable company that seems to have a good name in the industry despite being relatively new.
- The manufacturers recommend that Curvelle is included as part of a whole nutrition and exercise program.
- All the ingredients are natural.
- Some independent users have reported some success with Curvelle, particularly when used at an increased dosage.
- The company offers a 60-day money back guarantee.
- The iSatori factory has received awards regarding high standards of processing.
Curvelle - Drawbacks
- The testimonials on the site cannot really be taken seriously.
- No amounts of ingredients are shown.
- The product has generally received mediocre reviews by independent dieting websites.
- The product varies in price greatly, depending where it is bought; e.g. iSatori lists it at $49.99 whilst an independent health retailer lists it at $26.99.
- No clinical trials were done on the Curvelle product.
Curvelle - The Bottom Line
Curvelle seems to be a product that produces mixed results. As previously mentioned, some users found it to be helpful but that was only when taken in larger amounts than the company recommends (they advise 2 capsules with water 20-30 minutes before breakfast and lunch). If anyone decided to try this product it would certainly be worth obtaining it from an independent retailer at the cheaper price and they should definitely combine it with a regular diet and exercise plan as the ingredients alone are not likely to have much effect on weight loss.
