A new study in Australia has revealed that Australians consider Aloe Vera and Garlic to be the very important herbs for medicinal use.
Charlie Xue from RMIT University made a survey where he surveyed 2526 people of Australia in the Victorian state. According to Charlie Xue studies that have done earlier shows tremendous increase in the use of herbs for the purpose of medication.
The study also discloses that in one year 22.6 percent of the total participants use at least one of the two herbs. The people using it were in the age group of 35 to 54. These were university trained people with 60,000 dollar to 80,000 dollars of yearly income.
The other herb along with Alo Vera and garlic is green tea. All the three were used by the 10 percent of the total participants. There were also some other herbs like ginger, echinancea, peppermint, evening primrose, gingko biloba, St John’s wort and dandelion.
The study also reveled that more than 90 percent of the people believed that these herbal medicines help them to improve their health and make them fit. They also believe that these herbal medicines also help them to get relief from medical conditions according to the report given by ABC.
Xue also said that many people required and use these herbs for chronic conditions, anxiety, cold, flu, fever, many skin infections and skin related problems, sleep disorder and stomach.
He also added that women use more of these as compared to men. Also, that they are aware of the possible harms that may arise due to the use of these herbal medicines.
