Change In Climate May Harm Human Health

According to the European officials the world should be prepared to respond to the deadly and venomous effects of the changes in the climate that may have on the human body. This includes polluted water, food spoilage, risks of diseases that may caught us due to climate change and crop shortage.

As per the panel of health and food officials in Rome who marked World Food Day on 13th October, there is a need of special attention on impact that can have on people due to the rise in temperature, malnutrition in the poor and intense storms.

WHO (World Health Organization) has reported that scientists of United Nations are expecting that the temperature that is continuously rising this century will put a real bad effect on the water supply and food in the central part of Asia, southern part of Europe and eastern part of Europe. It is found that this year Mediterranean area is already experiencing the issues of water scarcity.

The participants in the World Food Day panel discussion had experts form World Health Organization and also the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the European Food Safety Authority and the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs in Italy, where the rainfall has reduced up to 14 percent in last five decades.

According to Catherine Geslain- Laneelle, the executive director of the European Food Safety Authority, due to change in climate there arise new challenges in the area of food and area related to it like plant and animal and their health.
